There are some really excellent iPhone and iPad apps being made for theater and dance professionals, but it can be hard to find out about them. These kinds of special-purpose apps are not covered often in the press, so when I’m looking for something to fill a theatrical need, most of the articles I find are years out of date. The best information I get is often from talking to other theatrical professionals, and of course that information is not recorded anywhere.

So, I have created a list to highlight some of the best apps available for actors, dancers, directors, designers, and technicians. I’ll do my best to keep it up-to-date. If there’s an app you think should be on this list, please let me know.
